Indie developer SeithCG has announced that Ghost of a Tale will be leaving Xbox Game Preview early next year and launching in full on consoles. A third-person medieval adventure in which you play as courageous minstrel mouse, Tilo, Ghost of a Tale sees the plucky rodent searching for his lost family and true love Merra.

Tasked with traversing a world inhabited by other animals, Ghost of a Tale adopts stealthy tactics as Tilo sneaks around on the lookout for helpful items, such as hats and disguises that can help him traverse the lands of Dwindling Heights Keep undetected. Tilo can't fight, so stealth is vital.

With mysteries to be solved and a world to explore, Ghost of a Tale will be plying its RPG action trade when it launches in full for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in February 2019. The game is also currently playable via Xbox Game Preview for $19.99/£15.99. Check out a trailer below to see what it's all about.

  • Fantastic little gem of a game. Has potential to have cult classic status in the future. Well worth trying out.
  • Damn, delayed again [this time at the advice of their distributor.] Was really looking forward to finally playing the release game in December. Oh well, least they have an almost firm release set now.
