EA has revealed to Variety that the publisher is still fully committed to developing new Star Wars titles after the news came out yesterday that EA Vancouver's Star Wars project was reportedly scrapped.
Although the statement from EA doesn't confirm or deny the recent reports about the cancellation of EA Vancouver's Star Wars game, it does acknowledge it and goes on to say how the team will "evolve into future Star Wars content and games."
The publisher then goes on to say, "We’re fully committed to making more Star Wars games, we’re very excited about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order from Respawn, and we’ll share more about our new projects when the time is right."
Even though EA hasn't explicitly said that the project is cancelled, it does look like the team will be working on other Star Wars related projects.
In the meantime, fans this year can look forward to Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order from Respawn heading to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
