Konami has announced that Castlevania Anniversary Collection will be launching next month, delivering eight classic picks from the storied whip-cracking vampire series, including one or two curios that you may not have previously had the chance to play.

Castlevania Anniversary Collection not only includes Castlevania, Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge, Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse, and Super Castlevania IV, but will also bundle Castlevania: Bloodlines (pictured), 1990 entry Kid Dracula (known as Boku Dracula-kun in Japan), 1989 handheld instalment Castlevania the Adventure, and Castlevania II: Simon's Quest.

As retro collections go, this one seems fairly enticing, with plenty to sink your teeth into. Guffaw. Castlevania Anniversary Collection will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC on 16th May. The Arcade Classics Anniversary Collection is also out today with eight Konami arcade greats for $19.99/£15.99.

These include Scramble, TwinBee Nemesis (aka Gradius), Salamander (aka Life Force), Typhoon (aka A-Jax), Haunted Castle, Vulcan Venture (aka Gradius II), and Thunder Cross. Contra Anniversary Collection is also due to release later this summer 2019.

  • All these Castlevania classics for only $20... I'm down.
  • @1, Agreed... $20 is a good price point. I'll pick this one up along with the Contra collection.
  • Worth it for that box art lol
  • Day one. Any excuse for anotherplaythrough of symphony of the night. I got a boxed PAL copy ror PS1, took me ages to get a copy back in the day.
  • @4 unless I'm reading that wrong symphony is not included there
  • I hope for some Curse of Darkness
  • I can’t freaking wait omg. I love the classic Castlevania style.
  • Komami doesn't seem to make too many new games these days, they do seem to release collections like these though so I've got my fingers crossed one of these days a Metal Gear Solid Collection comes our way.
  • Mother of god this is amazing. No Dracula X though? :( @4-5 yeah this is all pre PS1. Plus, SOTN has been on XBLA forever.
  • Got the names of the two Castlevania 2 games backwards. Simon's Quest is NES, Belmont's Revenge is GB.
  • I'm up for having them all bundled together. I have a few old cartridges of the Castlevania, Simon's Quest and Dracula's Curse. Those are my 3 favourites. I can't wait to pick this up and replay them.
  • what a horrible night to have a curse
