Oddworld: Soulstorm Gets a First Teaser Trailer With Gameplay

Richard Walker

Oddworld Inhabitants has today released a new Oddworld: Soulstorm teaser trailer, offering a first look at the upcoming second game in the planned Oddworld pentalogy, which started with the remake of Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty.

Picking up where New 'n' Tasty left off, Soulstorm will see plucky Mudokon Abe returning once again having defeated former RuptureFarms boss Mollusk the Glukkon. With RuptureFarms overthrown and his workmates liberated, Abe embarks upon the next stage of his adventure with more than 300 fellow Mudokons, looking for a new home.

Without food, water, or a place to stay, Abe and his Mudokon friends find themselves stranded in the desert, finding solace in strange new brew that has "insidious ramifications" for their freedom. Like New 'n' Tasty, Soulstorm will continue with themes of capitalism, environmentalism, addiction and mass consumerism.

Oddworld: Soulstorm will be coming to consoles and PC in early 2020, and you can take a first proper look at the game in the new teaser below.
