The upcoming Final Fantasy VIII Remastered has a release date, and it's pretty soon as Square Enix has announced the classic title will be released in just two weeks time.

Making the announcement via the trailer embedded below, this version of the game will have multiple "enhancements" on top of the graphical upgrade as many of the recent Final Fantasy HD versions have been given, including Battle Assist where HP and your ATB are maxed out and Limit Breaks are always available, the ability to avoid all random encounters and the ability to play all scenes at 3x the speed, in case you're in a rush.

Check out the trailer below. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered will release on the 3rd September on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

  • This is much sooner than expected. Im happy for this
  • i have been wanting to play this game on the xbone for so long now. ever since they announced all the final fantasies except this one and 1-6, i have been eagerly hoping and waiting for this game to eventually be added. Now all that remains is a 1-6 bundle with 6k GS and i can die happy. That and a MGS1 remaster.
