Ubisoft has announced that Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will be heading to Assassin's Creed Odyssey next week, enabling you to explore regions across the game's vast world map and learn numerous historical facts and info via a series of guided tours, free from conflict or other gameplay constraints.

Boasting a variety of educational stops on a journey across the Ancient Greek World, Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will offer more than 300 stations across 29 regions, with details on the history and culture of the times. Five different themes will cover philosophy, famous cities, daily life, war, and myths in Ancient Greece.

New features over the Discovery Tour in Assassin's Creed Origins include tools to learn the way you want, as well as 35 unique avatars and 15 mounts to unlock by progressing through objectives. Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will also enable players to test their knowledge with an "engaging, fun, and rewarding quiz" at the end of each tour.

Discovery Tour: Ancient Greece will be coming to Assassin's Creed Odyssey via a free update for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC from 10th September.

  • This is great. I surprisingly liked the ancient Egypt one they did in Origins. I like when a game also teaches you things. I learned a lot while playing Battlefield 1 as well.
  • Any idea if this will come with achievements like the Origins version did?
  • Excellent. Loved the one in Origins.
  • also looking for the same answer as @2
  • Since this game at one point even had unobtainable placeholder achievements for future content, it seems kinda odd that if there are achievements they wouldn't have added them already since this releases next week. But I suppose anything's possible...
  • @5 - Ubi hasn't announced yet if there is even going to be any achievements for Discovery Mode. Seems kind of stupid since they had them for Origins. Plus, the final Lost Tales was just released but there is no mention anywhere of an achievement for it. Ubi is definitely slipping.
  • @6 they arent slipping lol, this game is a year old and they are still pumping out free dlc, as well as the season pass which was amazing value in my opinion.
  • Man I can't wait for AC Viking edition. Please make a discovery tour for that as well.
