Oddworld Inhabitants has released a new, albeit brief, teaser trailer for its eagerly awaited new installment in the Oddworld series, Oddworld: Soulstorm.
In a little bit of the series' trademark humour, the trailer was presented with the game's official Twitter account proclaiming that fans had been asking if the new entry in the series would retain the 'dark narrative' - and the clip certainly does answer that question in the most literal sense.
As for the game itself, it was announced all the way back in 2016 as a follow up to remake Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee, Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty and will be Abe's second adventure - but is not a remake of the original sequel, Abe's Exodus, rather a whole new retelling of the story of the plucky Mudokon in this semi-rebooted universe.
Check out the brief clip for yourself below. Hopefully there won't be too much longer to wait, as Oddworld: Soulstorm is set for an 'early 2020' release on consoles (exact formats are still TBA) and PC.
