It appears that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered could be launching as soon as tomorrow, according to a listing leaked on the German PlayStation Store. Rumours have been doing the rounds for ages now, hinting that the remastered Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be happening, and many thought it'd be bundled with 2020's inevitable Call of Duty game.

While that could still be the case, the leaked listing (via CharlieIntel) has Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered down for a 31st March release, with "improved textures, animations, physical rendering, HDR lighting, and more," mooted through various rumours. A purchase of MW2 Remastered will apparently include a 'Classic Ghost Bundle' (pictured below) with a Legendary Ghost Operator Skin, Weapon Blueprint, calling card, two Battle Pass skip tiers, and other stuff for both Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare.

Dataminers reckon that buying Modern Warfare 2 Remastered will net you the Classic Ghost Bundle, while purchasing the Classic Ghost Bundle will give you Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered. It's also worth noting, that with Activision's PlayStation exclusivity deal currently in place, MW2 Remastered could be a timed exclusive for PS4.

We'll have more on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered as and when it surfaces.

  • Hmmm
  • I won't pay more than $20 for a remaster if its just the campaign and that's if the remaster is done well and not just the 2009 game upscale to 4k. Only suspect that cause this is launching with a dlc pack and not a $60 game. They gotta get that $59.99 out of us for MW2 somehow.
  • @2, You're too generous. I wouldn't pay $20 for an 11 year old game that gives you less. At best, this is worth $10, and even then I think I'd wait for a sale to get it less than $10. Of course, we know Activision would never sell this for $10.
  • Yeah if it’s $60 and bundled with MP DLC I’ll wait till it’s available as a stand alone.
  • Just campaign lame but honestly who really plays cod for the campaign lol
  • @5 I do.
  • @3 You're not wrong. But I think $20 is fair if it's as big a of a visual upgrade as it was going from COD4 to MWR. BUT I should have mentioned in my OP that ALL the Spec Ops co-op content would need to be there too.
  • @7 if there's no spec ops I don't think it warrants a purchase. It's a 4-5 hour campaign on veteran. There's just not enough content there for me. I can just play MW2 through backwards compatibility if I really wanted to.
  • They should have at least included Spec Ops. Poor choice and for £20-£25 the content is seriously lacking.
  • Further proof of how little effort they put in and how many people will still buy into this crap.
  • Personally think they should do a complete collection. All 3 MW games, all 3 campaigns remastered. MP modes such as survival, chaos but with extra options like in survival the enemy has to search for you, rather than know your exact location so be a bit more fun. All maps from all 3 games including the DLC in all modes. Spec ops with a few more modes to give it more reply value. MP with 4 player split screen, bots available and extra modes like gun game
