Digerati and Failbetter Games have announced that Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition will be heading to Xbox One later this month, following the game's 2015 PC launch after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Sunless Sea sees you at the helm of your very own upgradeable steamship in a 'Victorian Gothic' RPG centred upon discovery.

"Loneliness and frequent death" are other elements that you'll have to contend with, as you seek out your father's bones, defy the deep sea gods, and ultimately decide the fate of London. Choosing your ship's mascot, you'll also be able to discover lost treasure, smuggle silk and souls, and engage in real-time combat against ships, spider-crewed dreadnoughts, Zee-beasts, and sentient icebergs.

While building your story across generations of 'zailors' who've lost their lives at sea, venturing too far from civilisation will also cause your crew to become increasingly fearful, before losing their sanity completely. Each officer you recruit has their own story to tell, too. Sunless Sea: Zubmariner Edition will be coming to Xbox One on 24th April, bundling the "extensive" underwater expansion.

Failbetter Games also has Sunless Skies: Sovereign Edition in the works for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC, targeting a proposed August/September release date.
