Futuristic anti-gravity racer, Antigraviator, is due to launch for Xbox One later this week, channelling the spirit of WipEout and F-Zero with speedy, friction-free racing set in the year 2210. From the cockpit of your chosen 'Grav' craft, you'll be able to use traps, power-ups, and boosts to take down your opponents.

Antigraviator features five different modes -- including competitive online and split-screen multiplayer options -- and six racing venues, each with their own set of three "dynamic" tracks. Weapons include hover mines, the ability to cause a rockslide that collapses tunnels, and more common stuff like missiles and rocket launchers.

Each of the game's Gravs is also customisable, although choosing one upgrade can compromise another, meaning it'll take time to determine the right balance. You can also unlock a selection of skins for your Grav in-game, offering new designs for your craft. Antigraviator launches on 2nd May for Xbox One, priced $19.99/£16.74.

  • This games name confuses me. I can't work out how they want you to say it. Is it Anti-grav-iator, or do they want you to say the aviator part making it sound like anti-grave-iator?
  • Makes me wish we could get the WipEout Collection on Xbox
