Devolver Digital has dropped some new trailers for Serious Sam 4, and confirmed the game will be coming to Xbox One in 2021, following the initial launch on PC and Google Stadia this August.

The fourth mainline game is developed by Croteam, and will serve as a prequel to the Serious Sam series. The developers are utilising a new "Legion System" which will populate the game word with over 10,000 enemies at once. On top of that, you can expect all of the typical over-the-top action that Serious Sam is known for. The campaign can be played through alone or with up to four players online for some co-op shooty-bang-bang, with an arsenal of new and returning weapons to pick from.

In fact, as well as the cinematic trailer, Devolver Digital has released a bunch of short preview videos diving into the combat, the enemies, the music, weapons and the legion system - we've embedded them all down below for your perusal, and there are screenshots in the gallery to check out as well.

Serious Sam 4 hits Google Stadia and PC in August 2020, then Xbox One and PlayStation 4 in 2021
