Standalone spin-off Warface: Breakout has released for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 today, offering a tactical first-person experience with enhanced controls tailored for a console controller. Featuring "intense multiplayer battles with gunplay-focused combat," Breakout also includes an arms store system that enables you to customise your loadout prior to the start of each round, using credits earned during matches.

Set in the near-future, Warface: Breakout plays out across five different maps, with more than 30 weapons, each boasting their own recoil patterns and gunplay styles, as well as in-game customisation options. Listing Counter-Strike among its influences, Breakout possesses a "heavy focus on gunplay and resource management", according to Warface Franchise Lead, Ivan Pabiarzhyn.

Bomb defusual in the team-based 'Search and Destroy' is Breakout's core game mode, with two rival squads of five players (Wardens and Reapers) battling to plant or defuse an explosive device. Credits are earned through completion of mission objectives or by defeating enemies, and these can be spent on new weapons and tactical equipment at the beginning of each multiplayer round.

Free post-launch seasonal content updates are also planned for Warface: Breakout, with the only monetisation to be through character and weapon cosmetic customisation items. Warface: Breakout is available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 now, priced $19.99/£16.74, or you can get the Deluxe Edition for $29.99/£24.99 with exclusive cosmetics, including the 'Vendetta' Legendary Knife, 'Liberator' Legendary M1911 Skin, 'Redeemer' Legendary USP Skin, and 'Nightslayer' Player Badge and Avatar Pack.
