A Plague Tale: Innocence Surpasses One Million Copies Sold

A Plague Tale: Innocence has hit the impressive milestone of one million copies sold worldwide.

The game takes place in a plague-ridden France during the Hundred Years' War, and tells an intimate story of a family struggling to survive. The game was visually impressive, inspired by games such as The Last of Us and created on a much smaller budget than the triple-A titles you might associate with the genre, so hitting one million sold will be fantastic news for developer Asobo Studios.

The developer is currently working on the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator, which looks equally impressive, and may also be working on a sequel to A Plague Tale (via VideoGamer). The game is currently on sale on the Microsoft Store, and is also available via Xbox Game Pass.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

  • great game, can only recommend it
  • This game is fantastic. It’s story is very engaging and well done. Although the games strength is not its gameplay, it far from bad. The voice acting and music are phenomenal. I can’t believe how small the team was that made this game. Highly recommended.
  • A quality single-player story-driven game which can be completed in about 20 hours. Anyone who hasn't played it please give it a try. We need to support games like this and their developers.
  • ...recommendable for sure (played it via Game Pass)...
  • I also would highly recommend this game to anyone who hasn’t played it, I purchased it when it initially came out cause I absolutely love single player games like this. I really wish they made more like it. But I also was intrigued by it because of the time frame and atmosphere it has. I was very happy with my purchase and played it multiple times as well. Really hope they make another one I know that.
