Vermintide developer Fatshark has announced Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, its third game within the Warhammer universe, and another 4-player co-op experience. Taking you deep into the hive city, Darktide will have you facing hordes of enemies, combining FPS and melee skills.
"I am happy to announce Warhammer 40,000: Darktide to the gaming world today," said Fatshark CEO Martin Wahlund. "We are utilising the knowledge and experience honed from the Vermintide franchise in this new take on the 40,000 universe We are bringing the four player co-op experience to a new setting, and we can’t wait to share the game with everybody in 2021."
Featuring "visceral clashes" between Imperium and Chaos factions, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide won't allow you to hide behind a ranged weapon. Instead, you'll need to get up close and personal with enemies, not entirely unlike you did in Warhammer: Vermintide. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is coming to Xbox Series X and PC in 2021.
I know they’re different devs. Which Is why I Feel I probably don’t love it as much as the left 4 dead series. It’s just not quite right. So many things are better but it just lacks atmosphere for me. And also versus was real big for me back in the left 4 dead days (which is coming)
