Developer inXile has gone into detail on how Wasteland 3's co-op multiplayer will work, including some unique options only available with two players.
Wasteland 3 is the franchise's first dip into the multiplayer waters, and the developer has made sure that the mode works in the world of Wasteland. Players can join a friend's game at any point during the story, with the host then able to divvy up the party of rangers, with each player in control of a smaller group during battles. Co-op mode will also bring some unique moments to a playthrough, such as allowing players to split up and hand in a quest to two rival NPCs simultaneously, doubling the rewards.
It doesn't have to be all chummy chummy if you don't want it to be, however, with plenty of opportunities to mess with your mates such as spreading rumours about them at home base. For more details and a closer look at co-op, you can check out the trailer down below!
Wasteland 3 launches on Xbox One (via Xbox Game Pass), PlayStation 4 and PC on 28th August.
