Publisher PQube and developer Level 91 Entertainment have announced that Inertial Drift will now be skidding into view in September, with a new animated intro and a slew of racing modes. A twin-stick 1-on-1 arcade racer, Inertial Drift is all about mastering the art of sliding around corners in style, while maintaining your speed.
Inertial Drift will boast a range of racing modes to partake in, from the Practice Mode where you can sharpen your drifting skills, to Ghost Battle where you can strive to beat the lap times of rival racers. Or you can go for high scores in Time Attack, take on opponents in Duel, or flex your drifting prowess in Style Mode.
Race Mode provides the crux of Inertial Drift, with "intense" head-to-head racing against cars fitted with Phase Shift Impact Prevention Systems, so you and your rival racers can zone-in on your racing line. Lapses in concentration will still result in crashes, however, so you'll need to focus on the game's 20 tracks.
An Endurance Mode rounds things out, as you race against time, solo, from checkpoint to checkpoint. Inertial Drift will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 11th September, and you can check out the game's animated intro below.
