Ubisoft Annecy has lifted the lid on Riders Republic, a "massive multiplayer playground" that looks to expand upon what the developer achieved with STEEP, with the ability to mount up on a bike, ski, snowboard, wingsuit, and even launch yourself through the sky strapped to a rocket wingsuit.

Meeting up with other players, you can live out your "rider's fantasy" in a colossal open world that takes in iconic American national parks like Yosemite, Bryce Canton, Mammoth Mountain, and more, shredding across the scenery however you see fit. The game will include an array of multiplayer modes, including downhill races, competitive team-based maps, and huge PvP races against more than 50 other players.

Riders Republic will be riding out on Xbox Series X, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 25th February 2021, offering a free next-gen upgrade for anyone purchasing the current-gen version of the game. Check out the debut cinematic premiere and gameplay trailer below.

  • So this is basically The Crew offroad? Milio
  • The Crew has offroad genius
  • @1 It's Steep with more biomes
  • I think the main appeal for me is the craziness of downhill mountain biking and the MMO factor. There is just so much that can go wrong and trying to avoid those huge multi-person pile-ups is going to be part of the fun! Would still like BMX somehow but it ain't happening in a downhill game.
  • looks like Rage without the weapons...
  • looks like Halo without the Spartans
  • @4 When they showed the different bikes one was freestyle. Looked like BMX to me.
  • Looks like the Avengers without superheroes.
  • Skyrim with guns.
