Koei Tecmo has announced that Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will be launching early next year, taking the '1 vs. 1,000 action' of 2018's Dynasty Warriors 9 and mixing in a range of strategic elements, just like all of the other Dynasty Warriors Empires games before it.
These strategic aspects include the ability to command units, as you embark upon a quest to conquer ancient China wielding your weapon of choice, while outlining your strategy. Siege Battles will enable you to deploy units to capture strategic vantage points on the map, including castles and forts, while fire attacks, siege weapons, or sheer brute force will see you taking control of key points on the battlefield.
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires will be heading to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in early 2021. Check out the debut Tokyo Game Show trailer below.
