Ubisoft has released a new story trailer and gameplay walkthrough for Watch Dogs: Legion today, as well as details regarding post-launch content for the game, which will include the addition of online multiplayer mode in December. The story trailer reveals more about unknown entity Zero-Day, who has framed London's secret underground resistance, DedSec, for bombings across the city. Undeterred, you'll fight to liberate London by any means necessary.

As for Watch Dogs: Legion's online multiplayer, it'll be added on 3rd December via a free update, offering free-roam open-world 4-player co-op, new 2-4 player co-op missions, 4-player Tactical Ops missions, and the PvP Spiderbot Arena for 4-8 players, controlling armed spiderbots in a "high-intensity' free-for-all deathmatch. A selection of free single-player campaign content is also lined up, including new characters with new abilities, new missions, and a New Game Plus mode, slated for 2021.

A Watch Dogs: Legion Season Pass will be launching alongside the game, too, granting access to the new 'Bloodline' story arc featuring Aiden Pearce from the first Watch Dogs, and Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, both fully playable in single-player and online. Aiden and Wrench will appear alongside Assassin Order member Darcy (in an Assassin's Creed crossover), and transhuman experiment subject Mina, who has the ability to control minds.

Additional unique playable characters, extra DedSec missions, the original 2014 Watch Dogs Complete Edition, and other content will also be included with the Season Pass, available standalone or bundled with the Gold, Ultimate, and Collector's Editions of Watch Dogs: Legion.

Watch Dogs: Legion launches for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, and Stadia on 29th October 2020, before hitting Xbox Series X/S on 10th November and PlayStation 5 from 12th November.

  • Wow this game just got a lot more interesting.
  • This actually looks pretty awesome.
  • Does anyone know if the watchdogs complete edition comes with the list of achievements again? As in the same way ‘Far cry 3 classic edition’ did with far cry 5 gold editon? Either way it seems a brilliant deal for the gold edition.
  • @3 I would assume that it probably doesn't. Far Cry 3 wasn't released on the Xbox One originally, but the first Watch Dogs was. It's still a possibility but if it's just the same game without any enhancements etc. then I doubt it
