Over the weekend, developer CD Projekt RED rolled out Hotfix 1.04 for Cyberpunk 2077, addressing a laundry list of issues, including “smudgy” reflections on Xbox One and PS4, as well as the flashing lights during Braindance sequences that could induce epileptic seizure.

General stability and crash fixes have also been implemented, as well as specific issues related to weapon crafting, vehicle appearance pop-in, missing animations, and an array of quest-based bugs causing all manner of problems, including visual foibles and blocked progress.

It's the first step in CD Projekt RED's ongoing mission to improve Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as customers have been seeking refunds in light of poor performance on the lower-end versions of each console. While the game plays well on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, there are significant problems with performance on Xbox One and PS4.

CD Projekt RED has pledged to improve the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with several major patches planned between now and February 2021. Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, and we'll have a review for you soon.

You can read the full list of fixes for Cyberpunk 2077 in the Hotfix 1.04 patch notes here.

  • I am patiently waiting until it is optimised for series X
  • I went from 5+ hard crashes a day to none after reinstalling with 1.04
  • @Gonin, I wish I had your resolve sir, lol. I simply have to wait til the 25th. Hoping for a chance for another hotfix/patch to this game in the meantime (talking past 1.04) to have it sitting and waiting for me to install.

But yeah, I'm in the same Series X boat as yourself in terms of patiently waiting for the true optimization of this game. :)
  • it's shocking how poor the xbox one version is...GTA 5 on xbox 360 looks better.
