Over the weekend, developer CD Projekt RED rolled out Hotfix 1.04 for Cyberpunk 2077, addressing a laundry list of issues, including “smudgy” reflections on Xbox One and PS4, as well as the flashing lights during Braindance sequences that could induce epileptic seizure.
General stability and crash fixes have also been implemented, as well as specific issues related to weapon crafting, vehicle appearance pop-in, missing animations, and an array of quest-based bugs causing all manner of problems, including visual foibles and blocked progress.
It's the first step in CD Projekt RED's ongoing mission to improve Cyberpunk 2077 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as customers have been seeking refunds in light of poor performance on the lower-end versions of each console. While the game plays well on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5, there are significant problems with performance on Xbox One and PS4.
CD Projekt RED has pledged to improve the game on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, with several major patches planned between now and February 2021. Cyberpunk 2077 is available for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, and we'll have a review for you soon.
