Motion Twin and Evil Empire have announced that the Fatal Falls DLC for Dead Cells will be arriving later this month, introducing new enemies, new weapons, and two fresh mid-game biomes to explore.
In Fatal Falls, you'll be able to visit The Fractured Shrines and The Undying Shores, taking on a “cranky” new boss known as The Scarecrow, who fans will recognise as a new version of the Royal Gardener, who's been altered by the Malaise.
Parallels to the Stilt Vilage, Clock Tower, and Time Keeper, the two new biomes are intended as alternate routes for mid-game runs, with encounters involving a homicidal pet sword, and psychotic foes like the Myopic Crow, Clumsy Swordsman, and Compulsive Gravedigger.
There are eight new enemy types in total, with The Scarecrow and his exploding mushroom projectiles capping things off. New weapons, meanwhile, include Scythes, Lightning Rods, Ferryman's Lantern, Scarecrow's Sickles, Iron Staff, Snake Fangs, Serenade, and Cocoon. Each will aid you in the two biomes' new areas, and you can ensure you look good dispatching enemies with ten new outfits.
Fatal Falls will be coming to Dead Cells for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 26th January, priced $4.99/£4.19/€4.99 alongside 50% off the base game for a limited time, and money off the Dead Cells: The Fatal Seed Bundle (bundling the base game, The Bad Seed DLC, and Fatal Falls.
