EA has revealed that the studio working on resurrecting Skate after more than a decade is ‘Full Circle’, a newly-formed outfit working out of Vancouver, Canada. Headed up by former Xbox Live head Daniel McCulloch, Full Circle also has Deran Chung and Cuz Parry among its key members of staff, both of whom contributed to the creation of the original Skate titles.

Announced back in June 2020, Skate 4 as it's tentatively known, was “commented into existence” by fans, according to Creative Director Parry, a statement echoed by Full Circle's General Manager, McCulloch. "The fans wished Skate back into existence and we want them involved in the process from development to game launch and beyond," he said (via Eurogamer).

“We want them to feel like they are a part of Full Circle. We're all about having fun and making great games that people want to play with their friends,” McCulloch added. “And, we're looking for more developers to help us build compelling worlds for players to explore.”

While the announcement of Full Circle doesn't come with any further details on the next Skate title, the formation of a new EA studio certainly bodes well for the series' long-awaited comeback, as do the numerous job listings seeking a range of staff in various roles to work on the game. It may be a long while, however, before we see or hear anything else regarding Skate 4.
