Since its release in March of last year, Bleeding Edge has received a mech-piloting dolphin named Mekko and a support character named Azrael as additional characters, alongside a litany of patches, new arenas, and fresh features, but we won't be seeing any further content updates for the 4v4 brawler, Ninja Theory has confirmed.

“With the studio now focusing on our new projects (Senua’s Saga, Project Mara & The Insight Project) we have decided that there will be no further content updates for Bleeding Edge,” the developer announced via Twitter. “The game is still playable on Xbox and PC. Thank you to the fans & keep teaming up & causing chaos!”

While Bleeding Edge will remain playable on Xbox and PC, and available to download via Xbox Game Pass, there will be no further content or support for the PvP fighting game going forward, then. Still, it's certainly worth checking out if you have Game Pass – you can read our Bleeding Edge review here.

  • Ninja Theory is a shame
  • Yeah not sad here. The game was marketed bad and the creative ideas behind its development anf final execution were all wrong!
