20th Century Studios and developer Cold Iron have unveiled Aliens: Fireteam, its upcoming third-person co-op survival shooter for up to three players, in which you're tasked with fending off hordes of Xenomorphs in what promises to be another frenetic bug hunt, across four campaigns.
Set 23 years after the original Alien trilogy, Fireteam sees you play as a squad of Colonial Marines trapped aboard the USS Endeavor, battling 20 different enemy types, including 11 Xenomorphs from Facehuggers to Praetorians. Each will have its own intelligence, enabling them to “ambush, outsmart, and eviscerate” you and your squad, so you'll need to adapt as the situation and your fight for survival grows increasingly desperate.
Boasting five different classes to choose from, including Gunner, Demolisher, Technician, Doc, and Recon, each character will have their own abilities and perks, with more than 30 weapons to choose from and 70+ mods and attachments to deck yourself out with. You can take a first look at Aliens: Fireteam in the announcement trailer below.
Aliens: Fireteam will be coming out of the goddamn walls on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC in summer 2021. Here's hoping that it's considerably better than Aliens: Colonial Marines, eh?
