Inspired by heroes in a half-shell classic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles In Time, developer Tribute Games and Streets of Rage 4 co-dev/publisher Dotemu have announced old-school-style scrolling beat ‘em up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge for consoles and PC.
Bringing back Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo in their classic 1987 guises, Shredder's Revenge will see the fearsome fighting team going up against Bebop and Rocksteady, as they set about amassing gadgets and gizmos to support Shredder and Krang's latest diabolical scheme.
You'll visit a range of iconic Turtles locations across New York on a journey to a final showdown in Dimension X, taking on the Foot Clan with classic brawling mechanics and co-op for up to four players. Developer Tribute Games counts Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game talent and staff who worked on the 2007 TMNT title for Game Boy Advance among its ranks, so there's a strong beat 'em up pedigree here.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge will be coming to consoles and PC, but a release date has yet to be revealed. While you're waiting for that, check out the announcement trailer below, with a cover of the signature TMNT theme “belted out” by Mike Patton of Faith No More.
