Wasteland 3 developer InXile has announced The Battle of Steeltown, the first narrative DLC pack coming to the post-apocalyptic RPG.
Based in southwest Colorado, the towering factory complex of Steeltown manufactures trucks, armour, weapons and robots to keep the state running, and keep the Patriarch in power. When deliveries start going missing, your team of Rangers are sent to investigate.
With striking workers, bandit raids and a seemingly locked-down factory, your work is cut out for you. You can explore Steeltown in solo or co-op mode, with new quests and robotic enemies to take one. You'll also find new mechanics added to the game's tactical combat, such as stacking status effects, elemental shields, non-lethal weapons and more.
“The Battle of Steeltown represents not just a fantastic new chapter in Wasteland 3's story. Full of choice, consequence, and Wasteland 3’s unique brand of humor, it’s also a culmination of all the hard work we’ve put into the game since launch,” says Game Director David Rogers. "For those playing Wasteland 3 for the first time, they’ll be playing the best version of the game. For players coming back to visit Steeltown, they're in for a treat with new story, characters, and combat mechanics that really change up tactics in challenging new ways.”
The Battle of Steeltown DLC arrives in Wasteland 3 on Xbox One on 3rd June 2021. You can check out the first teaser trailer below.
