Netflix has released the opening clip from the first episode of Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness ahead of the series' launch next month.

While the CG anime appears to be mostly focused on Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, the stars (not S.T.A.R.S.) of Resident Evil 2, this first clip sees the American military entering hostile territory, with a soldier appearing to ignore orders from a commanding officer, before things get a bit explodey.

We'll be honest, its a strange choice of clip to release - there's not a single shambling zombie or shadowy corridor in sight - but we can only assume that the events here will lead to the main show, which is, of course, zombies in the White House.

You can check out the clip down below. Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness begins streaming on Netflix on 8th July 2021.

  • I'm going to watch this but I'm not very hopeful it'll be very good, I did just finish watching sweet tooth though which was very good, back on topic though I think the resident evil series kinda just needs to die now, either that or be completely rebooted with completely new characters.
