The Borderlands 3 crossplay update is now live on Xbox as a free update, alongside the addition of some new features and the return of a fan-favourite seasonal event.
The biggest thing here is, obviously, the addition of crossplay for the first time, which allows cross-platform play across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, Google Stadia, and PC. Unfortunately, crossplay with PlayStation hasn't been implemented, despite being ready to go, after reportedly being blocked by Sony.
Elsewhere, the update sees the return of The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels, a seasonal event that asks players to eliminate cartel operatives before entering an epic showdown at Villa Ultraviolet against the cartel boss, Joey Ultraviolet. More details can be found on the official website here.
The update also sees the level cap increased by another seven levels, with players now able to reach a max level of 72, and a maximum total of 70 skill points. On top of that, Endless Seasonal Events is now a thing, allowing players to access all of Borderlands 3's themed seasonal events - Bloody Harvest, Broken Hearts Day, and Revenge of the Cartels - whenever you want from a new main menue option.
The Borderlands 3 Crossplay Update is available now on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
