Publisher Nacon and MGM have announced RoboCop: Rogue City, a new video game based on the classic sci-fi movie series, developed by Terminator: Resistance studio, Teyon. Based on the first three films, RoboCop: Rogue City promises to deliver “an authentic RoboCop game experience” that's faithful to the “DNA” of the franchise.
Rogue City will see you playing as the eponymous RoboCop himself, good cop Alex Murphy, who falls afoul of a gang of ruthless criminals who blast him to bits in the original 1987 film directed by Paul Verhoeven. Murphy is reconstructed and made into an unstoppable crime-fighting cyborg, adept at taking in crims and spinning his gun.
The game will feature its own original storyline based within the original RoboCop universe, although specific details on the title are understandably sparse given how far off from release it is. RoboCop: Rogue City is set to launch for consoles and PC sometime in 2023. Dead or alive, watch the teaser trailer below.
