Microsoft has closed out its Xbox Gamescom 2021 showcase with a look at Forza Horizon 5's opening eight minutes and a reveal trailer for the game's cover cars, as well as lifting the lid on the Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller.
While the lurid, candy-coloured controller made me feel a bit queasy, the new gameplay looks suitably spectacular, with several cars - including cover cars the Mercedes-AMG ONE and the 2021 Ford Bronco Badlands - tearing across some of Mexico's diverse biomes, including the desert, jungle, and even the snowy active Gran Caldera volcano.
Featuring cargo planes dropping the 2020 Corvette Stingray and Porsche 911 Desert Flyer, you can check out the pedal to the metal gameplay and cover cars reveal trailers below. There's also a video showcasing the Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller, “which captures the spirit of car culture and music festivals”.
Forza Horizon 5 launches on 9th November for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC, available via Xbox Game Pass on day one. The Forza Horizon 5 Limited Edition Xbox Wireless Controller is also available for pre-order and is due to release on the same day as the game itself.
