FAR: Changing Tides, the sequel to FAR: Lone Sails, has been delayed into early 2022, but to make up for it, we've got a couple of nice new trailers to check out.

In Changing Tides, players will not only be sailing above the waves, but can also dive down deep beneath them, adding verticality to the game and letting players explore the flooded underwater civilisation that protagonist Toe once called home.

Like its predecessor, FAR: Changing Tides doesn't make the act of sailing a simple one, and you'll have to manage the angle of the sails, control the mast, and use your limited resources to fuel the furnace and power your engines.

“Adding a submersible feature to the FAR universe felt like a natural progression for the series, allowing players to explore the ruins beneath, instead of just sailing above them,” explains lead designer Don Schmocker. “It added an emotional depth that the desolate wastelands of Lone Sails had and a new element to some of our puzzles, as well as encouraging players to engage with their vehicle in a deeper and more satisfying way.”

“Changing Tides is longer than Lone Sails, with more puzzles to solve, upgrades to earn and a mystery to unravel, we wanted something to set the two games apart while retaining the iconic elements; post-apocalyptic setting, painterly art style, dynamic soundtrack, and a unique vehicle.”

You can check out the feature reveal trailer, and the developer walkthrough trailer, down below. FAR: Changing Tides launches on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC in early 2022.
