When you're not fully immersed in a vast open world, a complicated RPG, or whatever, sometimes it can be comforting to sink into something that more readily offers up gentle pleasures for a few hours. The Big Con looks to be a slice of simple, straightforward enjoyment, in which you set off on a road trip in a bid to accumulate enough cash to save your mother's video store.

Recalling the vibrant style of '90s Nickelodeon cartoons, The Big Con also serves up a decent bit of nostalgia, as well as all of the pocket-picking action you could possibly ask for. As indie adventures go, developer Mighty Yell's game of thievery looks nice, but does it have enough appeal to sustain our interest? Will it succeed in stealing away your time?
