Nighthawk Interactive has confirmed that the Disney Classic Games Collection, first released in October 2019, will be returning in a new and expanded capacity, adding SNES versions of Aladdin and The Lion King, as well as The Jungle Book, making for a more definitive compendium of 16-bit Disney platforming greats.
Heading up the new collection is the ‘MORE Aladdin Pack’, which includes the SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis versions of the game, as well as the altogether different SNES release, and Game Boy Color version. There's even a Final Cut SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis version of Aladdin to play, and the Japanese version of the game.
The Lion King gets a similarly definitive treatment, with SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis, SNES, Game Boy, and Game Boy Color versions, and the Japanese version; where as Disney's The Jungle Book has been added in response to fan requests, presenting the SNES, Game Boy, and SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis versions to play through.
The collection will also come with a raft of new features, including the ability to rewind, skip, or watch any bit of the game you like (handy, since the included games are notoriously difficult); an array of visual filters, and more. The Disney Classic Games Collection will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch in ‘fall 2021’.
