“Turn-based combat strategy shooter”, Lemnis Gate is available now, developer Ratloop Games has announced. A unique take on the FPS, Lemnis Gate sticks you at the centre of a 25 second time loop, demanding lateral thinking to outfox your opponents, and alter the course of battle.
Careful planning and execution is the only way to emerge victorious, meaning you'll need to engage your brain and master your unique abilities as one of seven different operatives available during each round. Each turn, you'll pick an operative and make your move, whether its protecting a teammate, killing a foe, or destroying an objective.
Unfolding across five “mind-bending” rounds, you'll have to stay one step ahead of your rival, as well as your own past and present moves. Lemnis Gate includes cosmetic rewards for customising your operatives, and four modes to choose from, including Seek and Destroy, Domination, Retrieve XM, and Deathmatch, across twelve maps.
There's even a local 'pass-the-controller' mode, so you can work together with a friend. Lemnis Gate is out now for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC, priced $19.99/£15.49/€16.79, or available via Xbox Game Pass. Check out the new launch trailer below.
