Splitgate's September update has been detailed, with plenty of fixes and a new gameplay mechanic.
The gameplay update is a small, but should have a fairly big impact - mantling has now been added to the game. For anyone who doesn't know the term, mantling allows a player character to pull themselves up to the ledge that they didn't quite reach. In Splitgate, this is shown as a short jetpack boost, meaning it won't create a new animation and interrupt a player's aiming. Mantling can be toggled on and off in the settings.
Elsewhere, there's voice chat improvements, UI upgrades, and plenty more, including performance improvements and optimisations to Karman Station, which now returns to normal map rotation. You can check out the full patch notes here.
Splitgate is available now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
