Microsoft has announced that Xbox Cloud Gaming is now fully powered by Xbox Series X hardware, in a statement to The Verge.

This means that all games streamed for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members through Xbox Cloud Gaming, whether that's on mobile or elsewhere, will be the running on Xbox Series X hardware, and will enjoy all the benefits to framerate and loading times that you'd expect from Microsoft's next-gen consoles.

Despite this, players still won't be able to stream in 4K just yet, but Microsoft has upgraded streams to run at 1080p / 60FPS. While Xbox Cloud Gaming currently runs publicly on mobile devices, it is also coming to PC and Xbox consoles, and, potentially, TV apps and streaming sticks in the future.
