Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City's International Trailer is a Lot Better

Live-action film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City got its first trailer last week. We said it looked promising, you disagreed, and that's fair enough! Luckily, though, we've now seen the international trailer for the upcoming film, and it looks a lot better.

You can check it out down below, thanks to the Sony Pictures Malaysia YouTube channel, and it ditches the music for a more atmospheric tone, focusing more on character moments and horror than action. There's still some wonky CGI, which will hopefully look better when the film releases in full, as normally happens with film trailers. But we think there's definitely more to like about this trailer, and we look forward to hearing what you think in the comments down below.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is due to hit cinemas in the US on 24th November 2021, and in the UK on 3rd December 2021.

  • lot more coherent than the last trailer, but from comments the director made and the trailer I'm still not sold on having RE1 and RE2 happening at the same time. If they'd focused on RE2 and had the RE1 stuff as flashbacks maybe from Claire reading Chris's journal or files and video found in the S.T.A.R.S office, it would make a little more sense as Claire only went to Racoon City to find Chris.
  • Terrible cast and nonsense plot. The director and screenwriter should be barred from ever making movies again.
