Polish developer Starward Industries has released the first teaser trailer for The Invincible, a single-player sci-fi game based on the Stanislaw Lem novel of the same name.
The trailer introduces Dr. Yasna and Astrogator Novik, the two main characters of The Invincible, as Yasna attempts to scale a nearby cliff in an attempt to find a mysterious man. Despite Novik's advice to the contrary, Yasna succeeds in her goal, only to find herself too close to the thing she was looking for.
Currently in development for Xbox Series X|S, The Invincible sees Dr. Yasna and Astrogator Novik attempting to escape from the alien planet of Regis III. The art style is reminiscent of retro sci-fi, with the story taking place in a alternate timeline where humanity has ventured into space using only analogue technology. The game is being made by ex-CD Projekt Red devs, and was first announced last year.
The Invincible is set to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC in 2022. You can check out the new trailer down below, and some rather stylish screenshots in our gallery here.
