Minecraft's The Wild Update Launches Next Year

Developer Mojang has revealed that Minecraft's next major update, The Wild Update, will launch next year in 2022.

The Wild Update is, unsurprisingly, focused on Minecraft's great outdoors, with a particular focus on swamps. Mangrove swamps will now be a thing, with mud as well, and even new types of frogs and tadpoles, which is very appropriate for this new environment.

The update will also add boats with chests, and previously confirmed additions like The Deep Dark and warden will now be included in The Wild Update, rather than the second part of the Caves & Cliffs update.

“This delay happened because the Deep Dark is not only very deep and very, very dark – but it is also really big. And we want to make it as big, dark, deep, and absolutely terrifying as possible.”

You can check out the announcement for the update down below.

  • I am sad that the deep dark and the warden is getting moved out of caves and cliffs. So the only thing being added in part 2 is new caves generation. Which is cool, but not as cool as the Deep Dark.

  • I'm really glad that Mojang is still making something new after all these years. Minecraft gets better and better with every new update. With the caves update, I started playing this game even more because I've been waiting for it for a long time. I hope that soon they will start creating new interesting locations where you can find even more loot. I'm also looking forward to the next hell update. So far, I'm playing in single-player, but soon I want to return to minecraft survival servers(https://servers-minecraft.net/minecraft-survival-servers) to get the thrill of playing with other players. That's what I've been missing for a long time.
