Bandai Namco has dropped a load of new details about Elden Ring since the 15-minute gameplay reveal last week, including playable classes and performance across Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
First things first, Bandai Namco has revealed five of the game's starting classes, which players will be able to choose between during the Closed Network Test that begins later this week. These are the Warrior, who appears to wield a curved sword; the Enchanted Knight, clad in armour and carrying a magic staff; the Prophet, using a wooden club, shield, and perhaps employing miracles; the Champion, wearing furs and preferring a large axe; and the Bloody Wolf, which is just very bloody cool. You can check them out in the images down below.
As for performance, we now have official resolution and frame rate targets for each platform from Bandai Namco, viewable down below.
On top of that, we know that HDR will be supported on all platforms except for the original Xbox One, and that ray tracing will be coming to Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in a patch. Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PlayStation 5 will also have both Performance and Resolution modes, with Performance Mode aiming for 60FPS and adjusting the resolution, and Resolution Mode hitting maximum resolution and running at 30FPS.
Elden Ring is launching on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 25th February 2022, following a short delay from the original January release date.
