Airship Syndicate, the studio behind Battle Chasers: Nightwar and Darksiders: Genesis, has today released Ruined King: A League of Legends Story, a turn-based RPG based within the LoL universe. The game's arrival comes as something of surprise, since the game was without a release date and the last we heard from it was in December.
Set in the realm of Runeterra, where a deadly black mist has mysteriously spread from the Shadow Isles, Ruined King has you banding together with a party of League of Legends champions, to fight back against Ruination and uncover the truth behind the mist rolling its way across the land.
Ruined King: A League of Legends Story is out now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC, priced $29.99/£24.99 for the standard edition or $39.99/£34.99 for the Deluxe Edition Bundle, which comes with all sorts of cosmetic DLC extras. Check out the launch trailer and behind the scenes developer videos below.
@Pants, that's where I'm torn... The art makes me want to pick this game up at some point, but because I don't know a damn thing about League of Legends, I'd hate to be lost playing this and not knowing anything that might be significant to those who know League of Legends
