Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Update Part 2 Arrives Later This Month

Matt Lorrigan

Mojang has announced that the second part of the Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Update will launch on 30th November 2021.

The first part of the Caves & Cliffs Update launched back in June, and added a variety of new creatures, new materials, and new items to work with. The second part, by comparison, is all about world generation, and should result in higher peaks to climb to, more elaborate cave systems to spelunk in, and thicker ore veins to mine.

Additionally, the update adds candles, offering a flickering flame for all occasions. There are some expected additions that won't be making it into this next update, however, such as archaeology and goat horns. These have been delayed and won't be included in The Wild Update, but will arrive in a later update.

Minecraft: Caves & Cliffs Update Part 2 will go live on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on 30th November 2021.
