A new update for Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy has rolled out, developer Eidos-Montréal adding a Ray Tracing Mode to its rip-roaring space adventure on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5, alongside a selection of other improvements across all platforms.
Ray Tracing Mode is available via the game's Video Settings, bolstering the realism of reflections and lighting once activated on new-gen consoles. On Xbox Series S, meanwhile, the frame rate has been uncapped, enabling the game to run between 30 and 60 frames per second, recommended for anyone with a display with VRR (Variable Refresh Rate).
A hidden 'Save Rollback' feature has also been added with the v1.6 patch for Xbox One and v2.6 patch for Xbox Series X|S, meaning that anyone who has run into an issue that has blocked progress, can simply rollback to the start of any chapter. You can find out more about that here.
