Warner Bros. Games has officially announced MultiVersus, its free-to-play, Smash Bros.-style platform 2v2 fighting game. Leaked last month, and then leaked again, MultiVersus features a range of characters from beloved WB franchises, encompassing DC heroes and villains, and a selection of other, less predictable inclusions.

As well as characters like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and Harley Quinn, Shaggy from Scooby-Doo also features, alongside Looney Tunes icon Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, Jake the Dog and Finn the Human from Adventure Time, Steven Universe and Garnet from Steven Universe, an original creature named ‘Reindog’, and, for some reason, Arya Stark from Game of Thrones.

An all-star cast of voice talent will voice their respective characters, including Kevin Conroy as Batman, George Newbern as Superman, Abby Trott as Wonder Woman, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, John DiMaggio as Jake the Dog, and Maisie Williams voicing Arya Stark, among others.

Developed by Player First Games with a “strong emphasis” on online co-op, “deep combat mechanics”, customisable movesets, character combo moves, and support for 2v2, 1v1, and 4-player free-for-all match-ups, MultiVersus will launch for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2022. It'll include full cross-play support, dedicated server-based rollback netcode, and seasons offering a load of content.

  • Wait, why does this actually look good lmao
  • The fact that it has voices already makes it feel miles better than Nick All-Stars Brawl.
