Mind Scanners is a 'Retro-Futuristic Psychiatry Sim' Coming to Xbox Game Pass Next Week

Richard Walker

Indie developer Brave at Night has announced that it's publishing 'retro-futuristic psychiatry simulation", Mind Scanners, which will be making its way to Xbox Game Pass next week, following its PC release in May. The game requires careful management of time and resources to treat patients in a dystopian metropolis.

First, you'll need to diagnose the “otherworldly” citizens of ‘The Structure’, before administering treatment via a series of "arcade-style" devices, bearing in mind that you, and you alone “take full responsibility for your patients". No pressure, then. Whether you'll be able to explode heads, like Cronenberg classic Scanners, we don't know.

As well as helping the various afflicted denizens of The Structure, you'll also run into a selection of moral choices, which you'll need to approach with caution. You can find out more in the video below, then look out for the Xbox release of Mind Scanners via Xbox Game Pass on 30th November.
