If players can make it through this new challenge, however, they will face off against the new alternative final boss - The Queen - with a whole new ending awaiting players who can defeat her. Dead Cells: The Queen & The Sea also promises an ending to the route that starting with previous DLC packs, The Bad Seed and Fatal Falls.
Developer Motion Twin has also revealed that Dead Cells has now sold over 6 million worldwide. The last count, around this time last year, had the game at an impressive 3.5 million sales. That means that Dead Cells has managed to sell around 2.5 million more copies this past year, over two years on from its original release, which is hugely impressive. The game's success has also seen it cross over with plenty of other indie games, including Hollow Knight and Blasphemous, in the most recent update.
