Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök, the “most ambitious” expansion in Assassin's Creed history. Picking up with Valhalla protagonist Eivor, the upcoming DLC is set to arrive in March 2022, and will see you embracing your destiny as Odin, Norse god of Battle and Wisdom.

As the Allfather, you'll wield new divine powers, during a “desperate” quest through an epic world, which you can get a glimpse of in the new cinematic trailer, teasing the forthcoming expansion. It will be the third major DLC for Assassin's Creed Vallhalla, following The Siege of Paris in August.

A “legendary Viking saga” in which you must save your son ensues, as you face down the gods' doom, and engage in a brutal war that spells the end of the world. Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Dawn of Ragnarök will be coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 10th March 2022.

Meanwhile, Title Update 1.4.1 rolls out for Assassin's Creed Valhalla this week, optimising the game's file size, but requiring a full redownload of the game.

  • I’m guessing it won’t be covered by the pass. That would be hope.
  • I get this wasn't in the original plans, but it sucks to buy the deluxe edition of the game and then see they want $40 for this DLC on top of that.
