The UK retail charts are in, and with no new game releases in the post-Christmas lull, all the big games have pretty much settled back into their regular positions.
On Xbox One, FIFA 22 remains in its usual top spot, followed by Call of Duty: Vanguard and Grand Theft Auto V. Assassin's Creed Valhalla and Battlefield 2042 make up the rest of the top five. Forza Horizon 4 continues to climb, with the UK-based racing game up to number eight, while Mass Effect Legendary Edition also rises another seven places, despite the game's arrival on Xbox Game Pass last week.
Over on Xbox Series X|S, the top four remains unchanged, with Forza Horizon 5 holding strong at number one, followed by Far Cry 6 and Riders Republic. The next-gen version of FIFA 22 also has a resurgence, re-entering the charts at number eight, and knocking off Guardians of the Galaxy.
