ELEX 2 Shows Off More Combat in a New Trailer

Matt Lorrigan

THQ Nordic has dropped a new trailer for ELEX II, showing off just a little bit of combat from the upcoming RPG sequel.

Building upon the combat of the original title, ELEX II allows players to take on enemies with a selection of sci-fi guns to vaporise foes, bows and laser weapons to pick off baddies from a distance, as well as up close melee weapons like swords, axes, chainsaws. All of these can be pared with magic to create your perfect build, and you can even go as far as learning every skill and mastering every weapon.

ELEX II was first announced back in June 2021, and since then, we've had more trailers and information coming from THQ Nordic. You can check out each of these here, and check out the new combat trailer down below.

ELEX II is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on 1st March 2022.

  • This company is really good at putting out decent trailers and releasing garbage games… I’ll pass this time around.
  • Yeah, I'm with you. I'll be busy with Elden Ring at the time of release anyway so I can wait for a deep discount on this one. The combat still looks really shaky and it was definitely the worst part of the first game.
  • I mean, aside from all the bugs in their games, all their features and systems are implemented in such a piss poor way, every thing that looks cool in the trailers doesn’t nearly play out that way in game. It’s like they have a lot of good ideas, with no really idea or talent in how to implement and integrate them.
