Well this is a surprise - Konami has announced that Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is out today on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. I guess its time to d-d-d-d-d-d-duel.

The digital version of the competitive card game was due to release “soon”, but no specific release date had been given until today. Now, Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is available to download and play for free across PC and console, utilising the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG's official Master Rules, allowing players around the world to face each other in official card battles.

Unlike plenty of other Yu-Gi-Oh! games, which used the popular manga and anime as a template (I've still got a soft spot for Nightmare Troubadour on the DS) Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is all about the official card game, with a solo mode which takes you through the history and lore of the cards. The game features over 10,000 cards to unlock, and features cross-progression across all platforms.

You can check out all the details in the brand new launch trailer down below. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is out today on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
